Heddiw fe aethom ni i ymweld â'r Caeau Lladd. Roedd yn brofiad annaearol gweld y safle lle lladdwyd miloedd ar filoedd o bobl Cambodia gan y grwp a arweinwyd gan Pol Pot, y Khmer Rouge. Gwelsom ni weddillion y carcharorion, gan gynnwys yr esgyrn yn stupa, roedd y gweddillion yn cynnwys nifer o blant a phobl ifanc.
Y ogystal a hyn fe ymwelson ni i'r carchar S-21, lle'r oedd y Khmer Rouge yn caethiwo, treisio a lladd y rhai a oedd yn peri bygythiad i arweiniad comiwnyddol Pol Pot. Roedd yr amodau yn y carchar yn amlwg yn ffiaidd ond mi roedd yn brofiad diddorol ac addysgiadol tu hwnt. Roeddem yn ddigon lwcus gwrdd gyda un o'r saith a lwyddodd i oroesi, Bou Meng.
Today we visited the Killing Fields, it was an unearthly experience to see the place where thousands upon thousands of Cambodian people by the Khmer Rouge under the leadership of Pol Pot. We saw the remains of the prisoners, including skulls. They also included a large number of young adults and small children.
As well as this we visited the S21 prison, where the Khmer Rouge captured, abused and killed those who posed a threat to the communist regime of Pol Pot. The conditions in the prison were obviously vile but it was an interesting and educational experience. We were lucky enough to meet one of the seven that managed to survive, Bou Meng.
