Rydyn ni newydd cyrraedd yn ol i Phnom Penh ar ol treulio tair diwrnod yn joio yn Siem Reap. Wnaethon ni adael Phnom Penh yn gynnar ar Ddydd Sul yn barod ar gyfer taith hir ar y fws. Pan cyrrhaeddon ni roeddwn ni'n teimlo'n flinedig , ond ar ol gorffwys roeddwn yn barod i guro'r dref i fwyta a siopa. Codon yn gynnar yr bore wedyn i weld codiad haul yn Angkor Wat a threulion gweddill y bore'n edrych o amgylch gweddill y temlau gan gynnwys yr un lle wnaethon nhw ffilmio Tomb Raider . Roedd mwyafrif o'r grwp wedi cael digon o'r fwyd leol, felly penderfynnon nhw cael sglodion , o brofiad roedden nhw'n flasus iawn ! Aethon ni i'r "floating villages'' y bore wedyn . Pan cyrrhaeddon ni nid oedd yr bws mini yn gallu cymryd ni'r holl ffordd i'r cwch felly roedd rhaid i ni mynd ar daith mewn tryc , roedd y daith yn aflonydd iawn ac roedd ein pen olau'n brifo tua'r diwedd ! Ar ol treulio'r dydd yn y ''floating villages'' aethon ni i'r farchnad nos yn Siem Reap lle cerddon ni trwy ''pub street''. Ar ol diwrnod llawn aethon ni i'r gwely yn gynnar yn barod am ein taith nol i Phnom Pehn yn y bore . We have just arrived back in Phnom Pehn after spending three days of having fun in Siem Reap. We left Phnom Pehn early Sunday morning ready for the long bus journey ahead of us . When we arrived at Siem Reap we were all very tired , but after resting we were ready to hit the town for food and to shop. We woke up early the next morning to watch the sun rise over Angkor Wat we then spent the rest of the day exploring the rest of the temples , including the temple that was used to film Tomb Raider. Most of the group were fed up of local food so we decided to get chips , from experience they were very tasty ! The next day we went to the floating villages . When we arrived the mini bus wasn't able to take us all the way to the boat so we had to go on the back of a cattle truck , the ride was very bumpy and our bums were very sore towards the end ! After spending the day in the floating villages we went to the night market in Siem Reap where we walked through pub Street. After a very full day we went to bed early ready for our journey back to Phnom Pehn in the morning. |

Heddiw fe aethom ni i ymweld â'r Caeau Lladd. Roedd yn brofiad annaearol gweld y safle lle lladdwyd miloedd ar filoedd o bobl Cambodia gan y grwp a arweinwyd gan Pol Pot, y Khmer Rouge. Gwelsom ni weddillion y carcharorion, gan gynnwys yr esgyrn yn stupa, roedd y gweddillion yn cynnwys nifer o blant a phobl ifanc.
Y ogystal a hyn fe ymwelson ni i'r carchar S-21, lle'r oedd y Khmer Rouge yn caethiwo, treisio a lladd y rhai a oedd yn peri bygythiad i arweiniad comiwnyddol Pol Pot. Roedd yr amodau yn y carchar yn amlwg yn ffiaidd ond mi roedd yn brofiad diddorol ac addysgiadol tu hwnt. Roeddem yn ddigon lwcus gwrdd gyda un o'r saith a lwyddodd i oroesi, Bou Meng. Today we visited the Killing Fields, it was an unearthly experience to see the place where thousands upon thousands of Cambodian people by the Khmer Rouge under the leadership of Pol Pot. We saw the remains of the prisoners, including skulls. They also included a large number of young adults and small children. As well as this we visited the S21 prison, where the Khmer Rouge captured, abused and killed those who posed a threat to the communist regime of Pol Pot. The conditions in the prison were obviously vile but it was an interesting and educational experience. We were lucky enough to meet one of the seven that managed to survive, Bou Meng. Rydym yma! Roedd y teithio yn hir ac yn diflas ond diolch i'r nefoedd am inflight entertainment! Roedd sefyll tu fas yn Dubai fel sefyll mewn ffwrn x1000. Roedd y hostel cyntaf yn oreit ond roedd y cawodau yn freezing. O, ac oedd Ieuan wedi cael ei cicio mas o'i ystafell ar y noson cyntaf gan ryw ddyn. Roedd "double booking" yn y hostel a roedd ryw dyn yn meddwl oedd Ieuan yn ei wely! Ond yn lwcus i fo oeddwn yn gallu sortio popeth allan erbyn yr ail noson. Mae'r bwyd yma yn gret ond mae'n anodd i'r llysysyddion i ffeindio bwyd addas. Gwelwm palace yn Ho Chi Minh ond doedd o'n dim byd fel Buckingham o gwlb! Heddiw cyraeddon Cambodia sydd yn llawer yn tawelach na HCM ond dal yn llawn mopeds 24/7. Mae'r hostel yma yn llawer neisach na'r un dwethaf gyda lle i eistedd a "chillo". Rydym yn cael amser gwych! Hwyl! First Few Days! We're here!
The travelling was long and boring, thank god for in-flight entertainment! When we stopped in Dubai it was seriously like standing in an oven if that oven was on the sun. The first hostel was alright but the showers were bloody freezing! Oh and there was the slight incident of Ieuan getting kicked out of his bed at 5:30am by some guy. There was a double booking in the hostel and the guy thought that Ieuan was in his bed. Luckily for him we were able to sort it all out the next day so he had his own bed and didn't have to spoon with a strange man (which he didn't actually do FYI). The food here is amazing! Its great getting the chance to try new things, although the veggies of the group are struggling to find appropriate food, they may even have to pretend to be Buddhists. We did go and see a palace in Ho Chi Minh but it was definitely no Buckingham palace! We arrived in Cambodia today which is a lot quieter than HCM which in comparison to back home still isn't that quiet. Tonight's hostel is a lot nicer than the last and if no one gets kicked out of bed its a definite improvement! There's room on the roof top to play pool, darts and just listen to music which is nice after all the travelling. Anyway, we're having a great time and looking forward to telling you all our stories! Bye! |
